Self-protection and self-defence - an outline

The facts in brief:

When and where? Friday, 8:00 p.m., Hermann-Uebelhör sports hall (Leopoldshafen)

In our youth and adult training sessions, young people and adults of all ages train together on the mat! But why is that? Because we firmly believe that it is not only young people who can learn from those with life experience, but also the other way around!

Together, we begin with a warm-up routine that improves fitness and mobility, preparing us for technical training. The next part of the training session focuses on specific topics, which are presented in a variety of ways, practised and explained in an understandable manner. Mutual support during joint training is a basic requirement, so that we can all rely on each other.

In addition to self-defence techniques, training also covers communication and de-escalation strategies, scenario training and attacks involving multiple assailants. We also deal with weapons in this training – which weapons can be defended against? Which cannot? And when is it better to flee?

Our principle is: every battle we do not fight is a battle won.
